KGM Motors UK Modern Slavery statement

Introduction

KGM Motors UK is committed to preventing modern slavery, servitude, forced labour, and human trafficking within its business operations and supply chains. We recognise our responsibility to uphold ethical standards and expect the same commitment from all our business partners.

This statement is made in accordance with section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes KGM Motors UK’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year commencing 1st January 2026 and ending 31st December 2026.

Organisation Structure, Business, and Supply Chains

KGM Motors UK is the sole authorised distributor and franchisor of KG Mobility (Korea) vehicles and parts within the United Kingdom. Products are sold via a network of authorised dealerships appointed and managed by KGM Motors UK.

KGM Motors UK is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bassadone Automotive UK Limited, registered in Gibraltar. Bassadone Automotive has secured European distribution rights from KG Mobility, which have been delegated to KGM Motors UK for the UK market.

The majority of vehicles and approximately 95% of parts are procured directly from KG Mobility in South Korea. Additional suppliers may include logistics providers and smaller parts suppliers within the UK and internationally.

Policies in Relation to Slavery and Human Trafficking

KGM Motors UK maintains policies designed to mitigate the risk of modern slavery, including;

  • Whistleblowing Policy – enabling employees, contractors and partners to report concerns confidentially
  • Supplier Contractual Standards – requiring suppliers to:

    • Prohibit forced labour and human trafficking within their operations
    • Ensure their own supply chains are free from modern slavery
    • Provide appropriate training to staff
  • Ethical Business Conduct Expectations – applied across operations and business relationships s

These policies are reviewed regularly to ensure alignment with legal and ethical standards.

  • Prioritises high-risk areas for further investigation
  • Implements supplier audits and compliance checks where necessary
  • Requires suppliers to confirm compliance with anti-slavery obligations
